Fossil and Renewable Power Plants have been developed by our team. Typically Gas Turbines with Low Emission technology, Wind Farms, New (Mini) Hydro, Combined Heat & Power (CHP) and Captive Power Plants. Innovative power systems based on Synthetic Gas (SYNGAS) are being examined to reduce Green House Gasses (Zero Carbon).
Green House Gas (GHG) Reduction
The current focus is on assisting our clients in the development of Low Carbon and Zero Carbon Power Generation Devices to align with the drive towards Decarbonising. The advent of renewable energy, forecast to deliver over 70% of the world’s power by 2050 requires the utilisation of novel technologies for balancing such power sources; when the renewable resource is unavailable. Such balancing systems must also be low or zero carbon.

Gas Turbine with Synthetic Gas Fuel (40% Hydrogen)
Our consultants have developed and implemented a Combustion Burner Retrofit with 40% Hydrogen into a gas turbine (ABB, 1996 – 1997). The unit was operational at the API Falconara (IT) Refinery from 1997 ~ 2015 and met all performance and emissions regulations. The Synthetically produced gas (SYNGAS) was from the residual Tar and enabled the refinery to continue to operate since it became compliant with the local environmental regulations [Ref: ICheme, Gasification Technology in Practice, Feb 1997, Milan, Italy. CHP Systems – India & Romania
Full project support has been given in the business plan development and execution of such projects.

Albanian Hydro Power Extension
An existing hydropower plant was assessed for expansion and a feasibility was performed in adding a further 25% capacity via a side-off-take from the existing plant. The concept was delivered along with a business plan and financing structure.

Bulgarian Wind Farm Project
A 15MW wind farm project was developed to completion of the concept phase and Business Plan and Investor Memorandum. The wind data was reviewed and confirmed via expert assessors. All permits to build were acquired. Prepared project for Due Diligence.

Performance improvement of Power Plant – India
Energy efficiency and power output Retrofits (upgrades) have been delivered. Fogging systems and High Fogging systems have been developed for hot summer operation where the power/efficiency of fossil power plants suffer degradation. Fogging systems cool the inlet air and enable improvement of the plant performance characteristics for high-temperature environments.
